The Yellow Duckmarine is a one hour amphibious sightseeing tour. It comprises of half an hour around the city and half an hour in the docks. You will see the Liver Buildings, Queens Courts, Metropolitan and Anglican cathedrals, St Georges Hall, China Town and many other historical sights. You will then experience our famous splashdown in to the Salthouse Dock before cruising through all 5 docks and finishing in the Albert Dock, your crew guide will provide you with interesting, factual and quite often humerous live commentary throughout the tour.
The tour lasts approximately 55 minutes
The water section of the tour is approximately 25 minutes in duration
The land section of the tour is approximately 30 minutes in duration.
The booking office is located at 32 Anchor Courtyard, Albert Dock, Britannia Pavilion, Liverpool L3 4AS. It is across the bridge from the multistory car park next to the Echo Arena, or looking from the main road it is on the front left hand corner of the buildings next to the Spice Lounge.
Yes, you can book tickets online. If you do book online you do not need to collect tickets from the office. You can print your tickets off and head straight over to the departure point before your tour.

All tickets are sold based on availability for a specific departure time and therefore are non-refundable and non –transferable.
Reservations cannot be made without full payment.
- Due to the age of the vehicles there may be occasions when the vehicles become unserviceable at short notice. In this circumstance we will offer a full refund or re-schedule your tour provided seats are still available on an alternative tour.
- By providing your mobile number we are able to call you and inform you as soon as we know of any changes or if anything that belongs to you gets left on board we will give you a call on the number given.
In the event of a tour running late, we cannot take responsibility for any extra car park charges or fines that may occur.
If you have booked over the phone or in our office, you would need to collect your tickets from the booking office 10 to 15 minutes prior to you departure time.

Yes, we operate throughout the year, except Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
There is no age restriction on the tour.
Children over 2 years must be paid for and have a boarding card. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult. In order to comply with safety legislation, all passengers including children must occupy a seat.
We can carry children under 2 years by arrangement but they must sit on an adults lap, be booked on to a tour and have a boarding card issued from the booking office. We can only take 2 babies on each tour.
Groups of over 10 or more passengers receive a 10% discount when booked and paid within 48 hours of their tour.
The whole vehicle can be booked exclusively for parties/corporate functions. Please ring the office for details on 0151 708 7799.

Tours depart frequently throughout the day, the first tour is always 10.30am and times vary depending on factors such as seasons/weekends etc. During the winter the tours run at least every hour and a quarter and in peak season depart every 15 to 30 minutes.

We have 4 vehicles that all hold 30 passengers at a time.
Every tour has live commentary by our trained tour guides who all have their own unique style.
The commentary is available in English only.
There are sometimes events or road closures within Liverpool city centre. These events are often beyond our control. In this circumstance we will take an alternative route as close to our original route as we can.
Yes we travel in all weather except in dangerous weather conditions. The decision regarding unsafe weather conditions is made at the company's discretion. On such a day where tours are cancelled due to hazardous weather or dangerous circumstances a voucher for another day will be offered to passengers affected. If a voucher is unacceptable then the passenger is entitled to a full refund.
The seating cannot be reserved, and is on a first-come first-served basis. We cannot guarantee seats together. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but this is out of our control, please note no refunds can be given for these reasons.
The Yellow Duckmarine is a continuous 60 minute tour, with no stops on route, unless you have privately hired the vehicle and arranged a different pick up or drop off.
Not unless you want to. Our vehicles are equipped with enough life jackets for all passengers on board if deemed necessary.
Unfortunately due to the design of the vehicles there is very little room on board and we are not permitted to take wheelchairs or buggies on board, you can however leave your buggy or wheelchair in our booking office, The Yellow Duckmarine are not liable for any items left in the office. We can not keep any luggage or suitcases in our office.
Unfortunately the age and design of the vehicle makes it impossible to have wheelchair access. There is also 6 steep steps that passengers need to climb to be able to get on and off, they are similar to coach steps.
Pets are not allowed on board, except guide dogs.
There are no refunds for late arrivals. If you know you are going to be late for your tour please contact the office as soon as you know and we will try and sell your seats on to someone else. If we manage to sell your tickets we can offer a refund or put you on to a later tour providing we have availability.
There are toilet facilities around the Albert Dock based in the Colonnades. There is a disabled toilet and baby changing facilities available.
Not as a rule but if the tide is exceptionally high then there may be a few drops from the splash made by the vehicle, and also from the spray generated from the water and wind directions.
The vehicle is equipped with a permanent roof covering.
Health & Safety regulations do not allow alcohol on board the Duck. Pearlwild Ltd t/a The Yellow Duckmarine reserve the right to refuse passengers who appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs to board the vehicle. Any passenger who boards the vehicle and later appears to be under the influence of alcohol, drugs or causes a nuisance to passengers or crew will be told to disembark the vehicle.
We do not permit food or drink on the vehicle.
Food or drink is not permitted on the vehicle.
There are plenty of restaurants and cafes within the Albert Dock complex.
